Rosie is a 6-month old Goldendoodle puppy in our two-week Board and Train program.
In this video, Rosie continues with the 3 D's -- distance, duration, and distractions. In the beginning of the video Rosie continues to increase her duration with her sit and wait command. It is completely normal for puppies to be impulsive. This is an important training milestone during the "puppy time" to gain control over controlling a puppy impulsive behavior before reaching adulthood. Manners training gives puppy's the knowledge to navigate through the world of humans and remain in their forever home.
After several training sessions of gaining increase skills Rosie was unleashed for her last training session to evaluate her recall, place, and free commands. For her first off leash session she was able to successfully recall and place at distance. Rosie also did a great job with her free command by not jumping on me.
Rose is wearing a Sportdog 825 remote training collar. She went through a conditioning process prior to the beginning of training.
Thank you for visiting with us today!
