Exploring the caves and lava tubes around Shark's Cove - North Shore - Oahu, Hawaii

The day octopus (got its name because it is active during daylight hours) is a bottom dwelling invertebrate with a lifespan of about 18 months. Each female can lay 100,000 to 400,000 eggs. They primarily eat crabs, shrimp, small fish, scallops, and other octopi.
